Verto has announced the list of companies that made it to the final stage of Verto Awards 2025 in South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 21st November at The Legend Hotel, Lagos Airport, Nigeria and 27th November at Villa Rosa Kempinski, Nairobi, Kenya.
This year’s finalists represent diverse sectors, from fintech to agritech and healthtech to digital commerce, showcasing the country’s dynamic startup ecosystem. Verto Awards celebrates the spirit of innovation driving Africa’s economic transformation, spotlighting the most promising sector-agnostic startups with global potential, equipping them with the resources needed to scale, and expand into new markets, while building international supplier connections.
Tom Stuart, the director of Marketing and Growth at Verto shares, ‘’We are immensely proud to support these awards, which recognize the crucial role that SMEs play in powering the economies of both Kenya and Nigeria. At Verto our commitment goes beyond celebration; we are dedicated to helping these innovative businesses unlock their potential by connecting them to the global economy through seamless payment solutions.”

The finalists will now advance to the final stage of judging, where an expert panel of business leaders and product experts will evaluate their innovations based on impact, scalability, and sustainability. Winners for South Africa will be announced on our official communication channels on 12th November 2025. In all three regions, they will be awarded USD 10,000, USD 3,000, and USD 2,000 respectively, to accelerate their global expansion and streamline cross-border operations.
We are excited to welcome the participants and bring everyone together to honour the SMEs of the next generation in Africa and beyond. Stay tuned for more updates as we count down to the awards ceremony!
